Not every love wish is a large one. Sometimes you are not asking for devotion or commitment or a lover returned. You are asking for something smaller and more tender: that the person you keep thinking about would think of you too.

That is exactly what a think of me spell is for. It is one of the gentlest love workings, and one of the most beautiful.

What a think of me spell does

It does not bind, hold or trap. It carries your name. The working places you in someone's thoughts at the ordinary moments of their day, so that you cross their mind naturally, the way a song does, or a scent.

What they do with that thought is theirs. But very often, a person who keeps thinking of someone eventually reaches out.

The Window Whisper

The working I use comes from an old Anatolian practice called giving the name to the wind.

At sunset, a window is opened. It has to be open: a whisper spoken in a closed room returns to the one who spoke it. The person's name, written on a small folded paper, is set on the windowsill. Then, facing the direction where they live, their name is whispered three times.

The direction is felt rather than measured. It is simply the way toward their city or their home, as best you sense it.

Why three whispers

The three whispers are not a magic number. Each one belongs to a moment of their day, one of the three quiet doors every day has:

  • Waking, when the mind is still soft and open.
  • The midday lull, when attention drifts between tasks.
  • Before sleep, when the day is set down and thoughts wander.

Those are the moments when we think of the people who matter to us without deciding to. The working places your name there.

After the three whispers, a pinch of cumin seed is scattered from the sill for the wind to take. In Anatolia it is called the seed that carries a name.

The seal: the window left ajar

The window is left slightly open all night, and closed only in the morning. The name has had the night to travel. That closing of the window at dawn is the seal.

Signs they are thinking of you

  • You come up in their conversation, and it gets back to you.
  • They view, like or react to something of yours out of nowhere.
  • A message arrives that seems to be about nothing: a question, a link, a "saw this and thought of you".
  • You keep crossing paths, online or in person.

Think Of Me, Obsession or Dream of Me?

These three workings are often confused, so here is the difference.

  • Think Of Me carries your name into their waking thoughts. It holds nothing.
  • Obsession is a stronger working that turns their thoughts toward you and keeps them there.
  • Dream of Me is worked by night, so that you walk through their dreams.

If you want the lightest touch, and to be thought of rather than held, the Window Whisper is the right one.

Your part

When they reach out, let it be easy. A light, warm reply keeps the door open. A long message about how much you have missed them can close it. The working brings you to mind; what grows from there grows best without pressure.
