Dream Of Me Spell Ritual: How The Pillow Sachet Is Cast

Worked by night rather than by day. A dream of me spell cannot force a dream and should never claim to. A door is left ajar, for seven nights, and then quietly closed.

What a dream of me spell can honestly do

Let me be straight about the limits of this one, because dream of me spell attracts more overselling than almost any other search on this subject.

Nobody can make another person dream a specific dream to order. Anyone who tells you they can is describing something that does not happen. What folk practice has always done instead is work on the threshold: the state between waking and sleep, where the mind sorts through what it is carrying and reaches for whatever has been left within reach.

This working puts your name within reach for seven consecutive nights. Whether it is picked up, and in what form, is not mine to promise and I will not.

Who orders the Pillow Sachet

  • Someone who has gone quiet with a person and does not want to break the quiet directly.
  • Someone at a distance, where waking contact is limited or awkward.
  • Someone who wants to be present without asking for anything.
  • Someone who finds heavier love workings uncomfortable.

If what you need is contact rather than presence, the Contact Me working is aimed at that. If the connection has actually broken, a dream working is far too light for the job and I will say so rather than take the order.

How the Pillow Sachet is cast, step by step

  1. The name paper is folded small. Small enough to sit inside the cloth without being felt through it. Nothing in this working should be noticeable, including the working itself.
  2. Dried lavender and thyme are mixed together rather than layered. Lavender opens sleep; thyme is the herb of remembering in this tradition. Layered, they act in sequence. Mixed, they act at once, and this rite needs both in the same moment.
  3. The cloth is closed around the name and both herbs. Closed, and not opened again at any point across the seven nights, however curious anybody gets.
  4. It rests beneath the pillow for seven consecutive nights. Consecutive matters: a broken run is started again rather than continued, because what is being built is a habit of reach rather than a total of seven.
  5. On the seventh morning it is taken out still closed and put away where the pillow cannot see it.

Every item on the altar, and why it is there

  • The white cloth. Plain and unbleached, closed with a simple stitch. Colour would give the working an intention and this one deliberately has none beyond presence.
  • The lavender. Sleep. Without it the name arrives at a mind still holding its defences.
  • The thyme. Remembering. This is the herb doing the actual work, and it is the one most people leave out.
  • The folded name. Never opened, never read aloud, never spoken over. In dream workings the name is left to be found rather than announced.

There is no candle in this rite. Flame belongs to the waking half of the day.

The seal, and why it is removed unopened

The seal is the sachet taken out still closed on the seventh morning.

Two things are happening there. The first is that the working is ended deliberately rather than left running; seven nights was the offer and the eighth night is not taken without being paid for. The second is that the sachet is never opened, which means the name is never brought back out into the waking world where it could be examined.

Putting it away out of sight of the pillow is the last step and it is not superstition. A dream working that stays visible from the bed keeps asking, and asking is the thing this rite is designed to avoid.

What your written ritual record contains

  • The intention. Your words, and what I read you to be asking for, which with dream workings is very often to be missed rather than to be dreamt about.
  • The seven nights. Which of them took and which passed flat. They are never uniform, and the pattern across the week is the most interesting part of this record.
  • The herbs. How the mix behaved over the week, which in a sachet working is read on the seventh morning by weight and scent.
  • The closing. What ending it deliberately means for your situation.
  • What moves first. In dream workings the first sign frequently arrives in your own sleep rather than in any news from them, and the record explains why that is not a failure.
  • Your part. One thing, free, and never a condition of the working.

What I need from you before I begin

Your first name, their first name, and what you actually want them to be left with, in your own words.

That last part shapes the whole working. "I want them to miss me" and "I want them to remember what we were like" are different requests and they are carried by different proportions of the two herbs.

The strengths, and what changes between them

  • Standard Casting — the full seven nights, one sachet, one record.
  • 3x Casting — three sachets across three weeks, for a person who sleeps badly or is far away.
  • 7x Casting — the longest form of this rite, and the record written week by week.
  • Fast, Extreme and Ultimate — longer carriage again, fuller record.

Note that even at Standard this working takes seven nights. It is the one rite here that cannot be done in an evening, and your record arrives when the week is finished rather than the same day.

What people notice in the days after

The first sign is frequently in your own sleep, not theirs. People find this disappointing and it is not; a working that runs between two people is felt at both ends, and yours is the end you can actually observe.

The second is a message sent at an odd hour, or one that refers to something old without any prompting. Late-night contact is the characteristic signature of this rite.

The third, and the one people are waiting for, is them mentioning a dream. It happens less often than the sellers of this working imply, and when it happens it is unmistakable.

Frequently asked questions

Can you actually make someone dream about me?

No, and anybody who promises that is describing something which does not happen. This working places your name within reach at the threshold of sleep for seven nights. What the sleeping mind does with it is not mine to promise.

Why seven nights?

Because what is being built is a habit of reach rather than a single event. A broken run is started again rather than continued, which is why the nights have to be consecutive.

Do I have to keep anything under my own pillow?

No. The sachet is on my table, not in your bed. Your record ends with one small thing you can do and it never involves buying or keeping anything.

Why is the sachet never opened?

Opening it would bring the name back out into the waking world to be examined. In dream workings the name is left to be found rather than announced, and that includes at the end.

What if the first thing I notice is my own dreams?

That is common and it is not a failure. A working that runs between two people is felt at both ends, and yours is the end you can actually observe.

How soon do I get my record?

This is the one rite here that cannot be done in an evening. The record arrives when the seven nights are finished rather than the same day, and it is written across the whole week.
