Who the Confidence Spell is for
For the voice that goes quiet in the room, the idea that never gets said, the 'no' that turns into 'yes'. It works on you alone, on how you stand and how you speak.
- I have good ideas but I never say them in meetings.
- I say yes when I mean no, and then resent it.
- My voice drops when I have to speak in front of people.
- I want to walk into a room as if I belong there.
How your ritual is made personal
This working is called The Anointed Name. Your name paper is laid flat and anointed with olive oil at four points, crown, throat, heart and hands, with a pinch of thyme, under a yellow candle. It is left untouched until the oil soaks through to the back of the paper: confidence that shows from behind, not painted on the front. The paper dries flat, your name facing up.
- Where anointing comes fromAround the Mediterranean, oil placed on the head marks someone who is given a task and the strength to carry it. In hoodoo a wish paper is dressed with oil, and in medieval Europe thyme was the herb of courage. I use only olive oil and thyme, no scripture.
- Your name laid flatI write your name and date of birth on a paper and lay it flat on a clean plate. The top edge counts as the crown, the bottom edge as the hands.
- Four points of oilWith a fingertip I place a little olive oil at four points: the crown for decisions, the throat for your voice, the heart for courage and the hands for action. If you told me where you struggle most, that point receives an extra drop.
- Thyme over the oilA pinch of dried thyme is scattered over the oiled points, and a yellow candle is lit, the colour of voice and of being seen.
- Your wish spokenUnder the yellow flame I read your wish in your own words, for example to speak first in a meeting or to hold an idea to the end.
- Left untouchedThe paper is not handled until the oil has soaked through to the back. Confidence that shows from behind is not painted on the front; it comes up from inside.
- Dried flat, name upWhen the oil marks the back of the paper, the working is sealed. It dries flat, is never folded, and is kept with your name facing up. Then I email you the written record.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a spell for confidence?
The Anointed Name is a confidence working. It works on your voice and your bearing, so that speaking up and standing firm come more naturally.
Why olive oil and thyme?
Olive oil has marked strength and responsibility around the Mediterranean since ancient days, and thyme was the herb of courage in medieval Europe. Together they suit a working about voice and bearing.
Can a confidence spell help at work?
Yes, work is one of the most common places people choose it for. Tell me whether it is meetings, a manager or a particular situation, and the heaviest point of oil is placed there.
Does this spell affect anyone else?
No. It works only on you. No other name is written and nobody is made smaller so that you can stand taller.
How is my confidence spell delivered?
Your written record reaches you through Etsy messages, and as a PDF for the longer strengths. Most records go out the same day the working is sealed.
